As an MBA student what I have experienced is that with India's growth story, there are going to be jobs which are going to be created for the MBA students in bulk. Both the fields are equally good in terms of career building.
I would suggest that you should go for a course which makes you more industry prepared or increase your probability of placements. For example I am a student at the Delhi Business School and Pursuing a MBA dual degree in Finance and Marketing.

Resume building is one of the most crucial factors of Finding a good placement in a reputed company. So are courses like SAP/ERP etc which are used frequently in the industry irrespective of sectors and so really score well.
You have to choose a Busines School which takes the care of candidates and trains them for things like resume building/SAP/ERP courses apart from the normal routine etc.

Its true that Business Schools today rely a lot on marketing and promotions to sell seats as it has become a commodity for them.
i would still ask you to choose your business School carefully. For example, i am a studen t of the Delhi Business School pursuing marketing and finance and have got a job in HSBC financial services.
Chose a good business School like DBs for a better professional life.

As a current student of MBA, I believe that SAP and ERP courses are really beneficical for the career growth whichever sector it be like manufacturing, Retail, FMCG or Financial services sectors.

I can just talk about My case as i am a student at the Delhi Business School pursuing Finance and Marketing at their Badarpur campus. I had a similar MAT score the last year and chose Delhi Business School and turned out as one of the best decisions I took overall.
What i am experiencing is a very industry related course curriculum because of which i have got great summer placement with HSBC global. Likewise as a student you could learn retail management as well as doing Finance courses which means a dual MBA.

Looking at your qualification, I would say that Engineering Degree and the Diploma you hold, is more than enough to get a decent job. As Mechanical engineering is the field which is interlinked with several other industries be it Chemical, oil, steel, electronics automobile etc. so I would suggest you to keep trying.
I would also add here that ponder on the other factors that may be the reason for not getting success like communication skills or else you are not able to showcase your knowledge at the time of job interviews.

Few of the good Institutes in Delhi for MBA are FMS, IP University, Aligarh Muslim University etc. which could be economical for you. In Pune you can look at University of Pune. The above mentioned institutes are either Government or Govt aided so they will have lesser fee, similarly you could find other Govt. institutes.
As far as ISBF is concerned, as Shiksha is an Education portal which believes in giving unbiased guidance, it would be unfair on my part to give you my personal opinion on the same.
