Yes, as suggested by anjani jha N.I.O.S (National Institute of Open Schooling) is the best option.
It is recognised by the Central Government is equivalent to any other board of education.
Also individuals from NIOS are definitely eligible to write any entrance exam and opt for their field of interest. So, you can proceed further.
***Also you may pick 3 year diploma followed by 2nd year admission through lateral entry into a bachelors degree program. However, this pattern is restricted to the following-
1. Computer Applications
2. Any branch of Engineering
3. Hotel Management
