Please find below the admission process through MAT scores:
1. While filling up the MAT application form, you have to provide names of 5 colleges where you wish to get admission.
2. To these colleges your MAT scores would be reported directly, and if you meet their minimum MAT cut off criteria, then these institutes will contact you and then you need to fill the separate application form for these institutes to get admission.
Yes you need to fill the separate application for for the each institute you wish to apply.
Please not while applying to colleges you need to pay the application fee for each college, so you need to apply only to those colleges where you meet the eligibility criteria, there is not point in applying to institutes where you do not meet the minimum MAT cut-off requirement.
Please note that each B-schools shortlists candidates for second stage of selection which may be independent of each other.
The process may include
- Written Test (WT).
- Group Discussions (GD)
- Personal Interviews (PI).
Performance in MAT test is an important component in the admission process.
B-schools may use previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short listing and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process.
The processes, academic cut-offs and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across B-schools.

Admission to M.Tech. Programmes is based on VIT Master's Entrance Examination (VITMEE) conducted by VIT in major cities across India.
Procedure of Admission-
-Advertisement published in leading newspapers regarding the issue of application forms, important dates etc.,
-Application forms can be purchased at select post offices / or obtained through post.
-Entrance examination conducted in major cities all over India.
-Selection is through counselling based on the rank secured in the Entrance Examination. Preference is given to the candidates with GATE score for M.Tech. admission.
There is no score prescribed. However, GATE qualified are preferred.

A candidate for admission to the Programme for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy must have obtained at least a Second Class Masters Degree with not less than 55% of marks of a University or a Degree recognized by the University as its equivalent in the subject in which the candidate wishes to pursue a course of research or in a subject allied thereto.

Those candidates who have two years (full-time) work/professional experience in the area of NGO sector, development and social sectors, governmental sector, main ‘literacy studies’ or work areas (such as basic literacy, adult literacy, consumer literacy, legal literacy, environmental literacy, health literacy, media literacy, citizenship literacy) with research publication(s) comparable to M.Phil. standard are also eligible for the direct PhD programme. In this case, such candidates must have obtained their Master’s degree with 55% marks and above or FGPA of 6.00 in the 10 point scale from a recognized university.
