Nationality: All the applicants should be citizens of India.
Age Limit: Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years but must have not crossed the age of 35 years for State Services & 25 years to 45 years for Subordinate Services.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must hold a Bachelors degree of a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
All the applicants will have to ensure that they fulfill all the conditions in order to appear for the written exam of RPSC RAS 2017. Aspirants should note that only fulfilling the eligibility criteria of RPSC RAS and qualifying the exam will not confer them with the right of appointment at the posts offered. The appointment of candidates in RAS/RTS services is purely provisional.
Candidates qualifying all the stages of RPSC RAS Selection Procedure will have to appear for document verification. For the IAS, IFS & IPS, a candidate must be a citizen of India.
For the IRS and other services, a candidate must be one of the following:
A citizen of India.
*a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
UPSC Exam Details: Educational Qualification.

*A degree from a Central, State or Deemed university.
*A degree received through correspondence or distance education.
*A degree from an open university.

UPSC Exam Details: Age Limit.

Eligibility Of the Master of Science [M.Sc] (Geology)
The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to M. Sc. Geology is that the student must have a B. Sc. (Hons.) degree with Geology as one of the major subjects in their undergraduate program from any recognized university with around 50%- 60% marks in the main subject depending on the university a candidate is applying to.
How to Get Admission in Master of Science [M.Sc] (Geology)
The major mode of admission to M. Sc. Geology is through the entrance exam conducted by the respective university and colleges. The general format of the entrance exam is objective type multiple choice questions and on the basis of the performance in the entrance exam, students are granted admission.
While, there are some colleges like St. Xaviers College, Mumbai which takes students on the basis of their performance in the undergraduate program. The admission is purely on the basis of merit in colleges which do not conduct entrance exams.
Selection Process:
The colleges which conduct the entrance exam select the students on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam. The entrance exams test their basic knowledge about geology. The colleges which do not conduct entrance exam select candidates on the merit basis and their criterion of selection is based on the academic achievements of the students and the marks obtained by them in their undergraduate course.
Direct Admission:
There are certain institutes like Delhi University which take students directly on the merit basis despite the entrance exam being one of the major modes of admission process. The students must then fulfill the criteria of minimum 60% aggregate marks in the undergraduate honors degree program.
