Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (Maharastra-CET) is a computer-based management entrance test. Officially known as Maharastra-MBA/MMS-CET, the exam is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra, for admission to various management courses such as MBA/MMS, BE/B Tech, MCA, B.HMCT, M.HMCT, M ARCH in various institutes in the state of Maharashtra.
The admission to the management courses such as MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM is a centralised process and covered under Centralized Admission Process (CAP) carried out by the Competent Authority of the State of Maharashtra.

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance examination conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
The CMAT is a three hour computer based online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate's ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.
This test facilitates Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission in all Management programs.
The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.
Duration of test is 180 minutes (3 hours).
There shall be negative marking for a wrong answer.
Applicant must be a citizen of India.
Graduates in any discipline can apply for CMAT exam.
Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) can also apply.

How to Get Admission in Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science)
Getting into course is generally through an entrance exam which is conducted either by a recognized board like CBSE or State level exams which are conducted by State sponsored universities.
There are various entrance exams in India to get into this course. Some of these entrance tests are held at national level and include a tough competition like JEE exam for IITs and NITs.
Joint Entrance Examination
JEE or Joint Entrance Examination is conducted in the month of April with the guidelines of MHRD for admission to government aided engineering colleges. It is divided into two stages
JEE Mains
JEE Advanced
Around 13 Lakh students appear for this exam on a single day, conducted by one of the IITs. It is required to get into prestigious engineering colleges of India like NITs, IITs etc . For shortlisting of final candidates, a weight age of 40% is also accorded to marks scored in 10+2 level examination.
There are various other universities which conduct their separate examination for entry into Engineering courses for Computer Science, like Manipal Institute of Technology and Vellore Institute of Technology.
Certain other universities rely upon State Level Entrance Test conducted by state boards for entry into engineering courses like computer sciences. These entrances and universities vary state wise across India.
