Before planning for any examination, it is very important to check out some basic but important points. One of the most important point before applying any course is the eligibility. It needs to be checked whether the candidate is eligible for appearing for desired course or not. The students who are interested in BCA as their higher studies must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Candidate Should be a citizen of India.
Candidate must have passed class 12th or senior secondary examination with at least 50% marks including English.
The 12th examination must be passed/Appearing with mathematics as a compulsory subject.
The minimum age limit is 17 years and the maximum age varies between 22-25 years.
The students are generally admitted on the basis of personal interview and written examination conducted by various institutes/universities.
Some institutes/universities admit student on merit basis.
The merit is prepared on the basis of candidates performance in the qualifying examination (12th)
But, first you have to complete your graduation.

Admission is open to those candidates who have successfully completed their Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University with Mathematics in 10+2
OR
Admission is open to those candidates who have successfully completed their Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University have completed their 6 moths IT/CS Course from a recognized Institute.

Admission is open to those candidates who have successfully completed their Graduation in any discipline from a recognized along with 1 year PGDCA/PGDIT/GNIIT or its equivalent.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for JCECE & JEECE examinations are mentioned below:
Residential Eligibility:
Candidate should be a citizen of India and local or permanent residence of Jharkhand state.
Candidates will be required to produce the local or permanent residence certificate at the time of counselling.
Age Limit:
There is no age limit for B.Tech courses.
For medical courses, applicants should have completed 17 years of age on or before 1st July 2017.
Qualification Eligibility:
Engineering Courses: aspirants must have passed intermediate or equivalent exam with physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects along with chemistry with securing minimum 45% marks for general candidates and 40% marks for reserved categories.
Medical Courses: candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized board and securing minimum 50% marks in PCB group for general candidates and 40% marks for reserved categories.
