In the last 2 years IPM students are merged with PGP students. At IIMs there is no concept of specialization. In the second year you can however choose what all subjects would you like to study out of a long list which covers subjects from different areas like finance, marketing, hr, operations, IT etc. There is concept of domain like Banking or analytics or IT and you need to specify any domain of your interest and study some subjects of that domain.

Hello again, Abhishek the full time fees of different colleges varies a lot, I mean MBA colleges doesn't have a set rule for setting up the fees, it would be real easy for me if you would tell me the name of the college you are trying for. Although my guess would be something around 5+ Lakhs for the entire course. Thanks!

Hi,
You can consider the following options in fields like CA, CS, CFA, ICWA , Law, Design ,IT, architecture, actuary, Media, Management, Hospitality, Academics, Public relations, Mass communication, BCA and Social Work etc. The choice depends on whether you want to get into commerce related field, science related (if you have science in 12th) or you may want to get into BCA (infomatics related). The opportunities are good in any of these fields. Do be clear of your long term goal in life, the career that suits your personality most and what your strengths are and then decide on the course you wish to pick.
Hope this helps. All the best.

The experience requirement for different companies in Marketing vary depending on whether it is in IT sector or not. Also the minimum package with experience of two years would be in the range of 6.8 to 7.2 lakhs. It also depends how many candidates each company requires. More info will be available in the final placement report which would be out most probably next week.
