Basic eligibility to become a faculty member at an IIT is mentioned below:
Professor: A minimum of 10 years teaching/research/professional experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in an academic institution or equivalent position in a research organisation or industry as on the date of application. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialisation in terms of guidance of Ph.D. . students, a strong record of publications in journals of high impact factor, patents, laboratory/course development and/or other recognised relevant professional activities. Associate Professor: A minimum of 6 years teaching/research/professional experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor in an academic institution or equivalent position in a research organisation or industry as on the date of application. The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research in terms of guidance of M.Tech and Ph.D. . students, a strong record of publications in journals of high impact factor, patents, laboratory/course development and
/or other recognised relevant professional activities.

Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST or UCEED or Under Graduate NIFT Entrance Exam or Under Graduate NID that

There is no restriction and actually varies from university to university. Application will be a real challenge due to so many backlogs but if your final marks are good and if you can prove your worth you have a chance. You have to basically know the MBA requirements from abroad such as GMAT or GRE work experience, extracurricular activities, MBA essay, recommendation letter etc. Business schools abroad will evaluate your overall profile. In India you must clear the local entrance exams and must secure a high percentile. Similar to the process above, if you are shortlisted you must clear the interviews and essay rounds. So, it depends on how strong your profile is excluding the backlogs.
