It mainly depends on your interest, but according to me, if you want to start your business in food industry, then you can opt for the food tech, as this field requires less capital in starting as compared to the biotech. But, if you want to do the job then you should opt for the biotech as there is vast scope in the near future.

In science, you have engineering and medical. These are the traditional streams students choose. Some new streams are also in demand nowadays like biotechnology, nanotechnology, agriculture and genetics. Students are also moving towards fashion designing and interior designing. Research oriented students can go for KVPY and get into institutes like IISC or IISERs. There are courses like mechanical/electrical and computer science in engineering to newer ones like hotel management and fashion designing. You can opt for any of these as per your interest.
