Eligibility for pursuing Master of Technology (M.Tech):
Aspirant must have a bachelor's degree in (B.E/B.Tech) or any other equivalent branches of engineering.

Basic eligibility for pursuing Genetic Engineering is:
Aspirant must have passed 12 with main subject as Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics in addition to Genetics as a division of Biology.
Aspirant must have passed B.Tech or B.Sc in Relevant Field in order to apply for post graduation.
Many institutes offering this course conduct their own entrance examination. So admission procedure and eligibility requirements may vary in different institutes.

To admission in any B-School you should a valid score card of CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT etc any of the exam you have goven.
Yes you have to apply spearately in the colleges you shortlist to take admission. As every college/Institute have there own separate criteria to take admission.
