Do not take any of these exams lightly. Your Future and Career depends on your performance in these exams.
I'd suggest you to start giving 5-6 hours to your preparation each day including 10 min break on top of every hour. Keep looking for new ways to solve given problems and easier theory concepts so that you can answer each and every question in the exam, efficiently. Take help. It's

Your grades are good ones. To study in a top-ranked business school, you must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience. Very few MBA programmes accept freshers and only if you have an exceptional profile. You must also take the GMAT or the GRE. Also, the TOEFL or IELTS must be taken. The admission into IITs for post graduate management course is done through CAT exam. For post graduate engineering programs, you need to clear GATE exam with a good score while for M.Sc and other such courses, IIT JAM scores are used.

To study Bachelor's degree anywhere in the world, it is very important that you pass 10+2. And yes, of course, the 10th and 10+2 marks matter and they could be the only thing that can matter. But different universities have different requirements. Some universities are more competitive and some are less competitive. It's indeed gratifying to know your dream of doing doctoral research in mechanical engineering. This study in any case is external only.
