Hi ache,
I can understand your problem, For any student its very difficult to not listen to his/her parents and do what he/she want to and if not succeed in that thing. It will become another challenge. Your situation is what every second child in the world faces. Students wants to do something different and parents want something different.
Here what i can suggest for you is to talk straight away with your parents about the things you want to do, Your dreams, your wishes, your abilities and definitely the scope and job opportunities
Tell them that you will never let them down. You will do good in your chosen Things
