The department of biotechnology was started in the year 2002 with the mission of bringing a unique combination of skills and wide range of scientific disciplines. The Department of Biotechnology has been winning the esteemed best outgoing student award consecutively since its inception in the college. The achievements of the students have allowed the college to attain national and international recognition. The Department has so far produced 52 university rank holders in B.Tech and 6 university rank holders in M.Tech (3 gold medals). The Department is consistently producing 97-100 % results in University examinations.
Our Biotechnology graduates have the ability to apply knowledge across the disciplines and in emerging areas of biotechnology for higher studies, research, employability and product development.

Don't go there. Do not waste your time and money at this university (actually not fit to be called a university, but unfortunately it has been given that status).
Useless teachers (trust me when I say this, the teachers are completely incompetent. Some of them rarely come to class and even if they came they were clueless and didn't even know the syllabus, some of them said that they were teaching outside their own specialty/area of expertise (management's fault), but this does not mean that the students must suffer. There are a few (3-4) experienced teachers but they only taught in higher semesters usually 6&7 semester and sometimes you don't even get those professors if they are assigned to other classes,
Most of the teachers were fresh out of bachelors, hardly 23 years of age, not that age matters but when you are teaching Fluid mechanics or solid mechanics or manufacturing technology it is always preferred if the teacher has a more experience.)
