If it has to do with campus placements, then it depends on the college. For example if you have done your PGDM in IIMs the average salary package you can expect is more than 15 lakhs.
If you are referring to normal off campus job opportunities or walk ins then the qualification alone may not help you, you should have relative experience to expect a good salary.
So it doesnot mainly depends on just the qualification but also the skill set and experience required in the relative industry or job.

Computer science and engineering is a very good field that has a great demand in the market. Further, if you do CSE, you will obviously get a good job with less effort so that is the reason why CSE is the best option.

Placements are not that great in terms of the kind of package or the companies that visit the campus. But mass recruiters like TCS visit every year and that way most students get placed. Of course some good companies like VM ware do vist and hire, but the number is less. I am writing about the statistics of 2014 since thats the time when I saw placements there. CS and information Science guys get better package compared to other branches (which is what happens in any college). So, if placements are the only concern prefer some Bangalore college. If you want peaceful life and less expenses then prefer Tumkur.
All the best
