NIELIT examination centres are classified into five zones, i.e., the North Zone, North-East Zone, East Zone, South Zone, and West Zone. NIELIT examination centres are categorised into Primary and Secondary centres.

The exam centres are based on the number of candidates who are taking the exam. No, NIELIT O-level is slightly more advanced than CCC. It is a one-year Diploma course that provides education in Computer Science and Engineering. It is nearly equivalent to a Polytechnic Diploma and is slightly tougher.
