For UG Courses, IMU CET exam pattern is below - 

  • Subject - English, General Aptitude, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (12th Grade / Plus 2 level/Intermediate/Equivalent level).

  • Medium of Exam - English

  • Total Questions – 200

  • Total Duration of exam – 3 hours

  • Negative marking - 0.25 marks for every wrong answer

In CG PET, marks are not cut for incorrect answers. If students have marked an incorrect answer, the authorities will not mark it negatively. Since there is no negative marking, students should attempt as many questions as they can to have higher chances of scoring well.

According to exam pattern, CG PET exam is of 3 hours. During three hour exam, students have to attempt 150 objective questions. No extra time will be given to students to complete exam. Students should work on their time management.

Anyone who is minimum 17 years of age and have obtained 10+2/equivalent PCM Average with minimum 60% and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination) can apply for UG course.

For PG course anyone with BSc / BTech degree in Mechanical, Civil, Naval can apply for various programme offered under PG courses.

Students have to upload their scanned photograph and signature in CG PET application form. Documents have to be scanned and uploaded correctly in application form. If documents are not uploaded correctly, form cannot be submitted.

CG PET application fee has to be paid online to be registered for the exam. General category students will have to pay INR 200, while for the OBC category students, the application fee is INR 150. Students belonging to the SC/ST category will have to pay INR 100.

CG PET application form is released online at the official website. No offline applications will be available for the students. All of the registration and form filling process has to be done online. The authorities will not accept any offline applications.

While reporting at CG PET exam centre, students will have to bring a print out of their hall ticket and a valid and original photo identity proof. If these documents are not shown for verification at the centre, then students will not be allowed to enter the venue to attempt exam.
