firstly you have to clear your basics in any stream you belong to.

Hi Akshay,
You can take the GMAT and taking GMAT won't change your nationality. You will still be considered as General Category and Indian citizen. You can still give GMAT however it is advisable you check admission requirements before applying. Hope it helped.
