Admission to most of these courses is based on an entrance exam and/or interview. You can easily find question papers on NET . Also you need to see what course you are opting for . if you try for MBA then your preparation style will differ from entrance exam for graduation or PG diploma. As per your query, it seems that your long term goal is to pursue MBA, so as per your profile I would suggest you to work for 2-3 years and then opt for MBA.

Learning just PHP or Java will not help. You should also learn other technologies that are surrounding PHP/Java . This will enable to get the entire perspective of application development.
For example, if learning PHP , learn MYSQL , HTML, javaScript, Jquery etc.

It depends on the counselling. In case you don't get a seat there don't worry there are many universities and colleges like Amity, LPU, SRM, SMU, etc that take into consideration both the marks in 12th as well as marks in JEE for giving admission. Not only this some of them also offer scholarships to students. Check their websites.

If you don't want to take up a job after B.Tech then going for higher studies is a good option. If you want to go into teaching then M.Tech is a better choice if teaching is not your passion and you are interested in managerial job then you can go for MBA. These days different universities like Amity, SMU, LPU, Symbiosis etc are offering wide range of specializations in MBA. You can choose a specialization according to your interest otherwise these days entrepreneurship and retail management, media management, tourism and hospitality management, hospital and health care management etc are in more in demand.

In long run Mech.and Civil have a very good scope. They are the branches that have jobs in both the govt.and the private sector. Many universities like Amity, LPU, SRM, Sharda, etc are providing the students with world class infrastructure and lab.s for the better theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject.
