There are various career options available these days. However, I would recommend that you first concentrate on your 12th standard as it is very crucial in setting up a firm foundation. Before you decide what to do, it is important that you become aware of a critical factor for success in your chosen profession. Your exam scores are one part of it considering how competitive it is to land a seat.
Photography is a unique and creative medium of self-expression. It plays a major role in education, publicity, industries, scientific and technical researches. A couple of years ago, the suggestion of photography as a profession, would not have been taken seriously. Photography has mostly been considered a hobby, and at best, a part-time, extra pocket-money earning activity. But today, photographers are so much in the news, in demand and respected financially, that those who have the talent and interest in photography can now seriously consider this a viable career option. With the explosion of the communication network, the growth of advertising and media and the fashion boom, photography has now become a profession with great commercial value. It has become a good source of income and a means to a comfortable life.
There are several areas of specializations for photographers: Press photographers supply pictures to the national and local press, and must be versatile with an ability to photograph all kinds of subjects. They must have journalistic instincts, know what makes a good news picture and be able to write accurate captions, work well with reporters, be quick and often work under difficult conditions.Feature photography essentially involves telling a story in pictures and therefore requires knowledge of the subject. Many photographers specialize in the photography of wildlife,sports travel, environment etc. Advertising photographs are taken either by the photographic departments of advertising agencies, by photographic studios, or by freelance photographers. Advertising photography is possibly the best paid and most competitive branch ; success depends entirely on ability, efficiency.
Fashion photography has developed recently in India. Most fashion photography is done by specialist studios or freelancers who are commissioned by fashion houses of advertising agencies. Other photographic specialties include aerial photography, scientific photography and so on.

All the branches of engineering are equally good and have tremendous job opportunities. It entirely depends on how well you understand and handle the stream and increase your scope of growth. Different branches of engineering are popular at different places and the popularity depends upon the day to day requirement of that place.
Mechanical engineering is one of those fields which offers good career prospects.
A degree in MS mechanical engineering will surely enhance your job profile in India as well as globally, but please remember getting a job depends entirely on the knowledge level and caliber of the students.
Petroleum engineers are employed in jobs which are mainly concentrated in oil and gas extraction, professional, scientific and technical services and petroleum refining.
One can also entail the option of working as a scientist/researcher to carry out the R&D processes. Employment is rest assured for graduates in this sector as the number of graduates passing out is always less than the number of jobs available.The demand for petroleum and petroleum products is only expected to increase and the increase would lead to creation of new jobs. In fact, there is great demand of efficient petroleum engineers and almost every young graduate in petroleum engineering gets a job offer from petrol and gas companies from India and overseas.
