Hello Shreeharsha, For information about top aeronautical engineering colleges in Karnataka, you may please refer to following link. https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/ranking/top-aeronautical-engineering-colleges-in-Karnataka/49-2-106-0-0
Cut off in CET has not much relevance since private colleges in Karnataka have their own entrance exam and it is seen from past experience that there are wide variations in it over the years. So aim for obtaining the highest marks and leave rest to fate.

Hi,
Theoretically speaking, both are similar courses. Proportion of placements vis-a-vis pass out is similar in both branches. However in India core jobs for aeronautical engineering graduates are very less. They changeover to software or do MBA or go abroad. They are not employable on main of civil aircraft since it requires DGCA license. I would therefore recomend mechanical engineering as compared with aeronautical engineering.

ILS allotment is done after CAP rounds are over. For ILS, seats are allotted separately, but for ACAP, seats are not allotted. After the completion of ILS procedure if someone leaves the college and there is a vacancy then people might get admission through ACAP. ACAP seats are available in all the colleges, but this is not the case with ILS seats. So, check with the individual college.
Best of luck.
