There is nothing as such that a branch is good for boys or girls, it completely depends upon your choice and your passion. Though the number of students in mechanical are dominated by boys yet girls can also go for it and as far as scope and placement is considered both boys and girls have equal opportunities, one just need to follow the right path.

You can get through if you have 97+ percentile. The placements for finance are really good. The average package is Rs 6 lakhs per annum and the highest is Rs 11 lakhs per annum. We have all reputed companies coming in for placements.
