India is the biggest outsourcing hub for Information Technology outsourcing since last 15 years. India has largest pool of IT professionals which provide cost arbitage to enterprises in developed countries. But this status of Indian IT industry is in a challenged state now. Slowly Indian IT industry is declining because of out cry against outsourcing in Western countries and increasing restrictions on working visas by developed countries. With world economy in bad state this decline will continue further. Also with increased automation jobs in field are going to reduce further.

Yes, you can get admission at SASTRA University if this AIR is under stream 1. You can also get the counselling offer on June 19th or 20th.
So there are some chances for getting a good course.

As per your college choices, it will be better for you to move forward with CSE at Sant Longowal because colleges in Kolkata are not very much known for their exposure and placements, so opt for Longowal for better exposure and placements.

Why apply to private colleges when there are good and reputed universities in India where you can get admission in mass communication courses like BAJMC, B.J. M. C. MAJMC, M.J. M. C. or any Diploma course. Colleges like MICA, NIMCJ, Amity Bennett, Seamedu, MIT Pune etc.

If you haven't written the entrance exam for mass communications, it's okay.
You can still apply for the course in colleges like SRM, Loyala etc., in Chennai.
These colleges don't admit people based on exams.
