This is very difficult to answer still I will try. As it depends on you skill sets and attitude. Also, whats your expertise and choice of department. Hotel Industry is never a tough place to work but everyone is not made for that. Also, which brand have you selected. So you have to weight your work life balance then to decide.

Yes, non engineers can apply for MBA in NITW. However you have to clear CAT and subsequent rounds in college( GD and PI) where you will have to compete with students from various streams.

There are many book as in MA English entrance exam. But, you have to be knowledgeable in history of English literature. The critical analysis. The postmodern theories. More over, the Shakespeare plays also plays a vital role in that kind of exams. For history of English literature, you can go for "Routledge history of English literature ". No, you won't be able to get admission as the most important thing is the eligibility criteria and if you satisfy this then you can even get admission in some NIT but, if not then it will be difficult for you get admission in any central government controlled institute.
