Yes, you can apply for the NET exam if you complete the post-graduation within 2 years of qualifying the NET exam. The NET Exam is held to determine candidates for assistant professor posts in colleges and university and for junior research fellowship awards. UGC NET exam is held for the arts, commerce and other stream candidates while CSIR NET exam is held for the Science stream students for the same purpose. The minimum eligibility to apply for the NET Exam is post-graduation degree for the recognised university with more than 55% marks. However, B.Tech final year candidates can also apply for the same, but they will get the NET certificate after completing the UGC NET exam.

Yes, sure. There are many training institute, which offers ethical hacking courses. If you pursue B.Tech, then doing summer and winter training is very useful and informative for future use. Some training institute are Futurenext technologies, CETPA, netcamp etc. I will advise you to pursue your B.Tech course and in summer vacation of 1 year you can join summer training. Doing summer training has lots of benefits, like the time period of 2 months is utilities in a very good way, you learn something new, you will get certificate at the end of your training, and if you join project based summer training then it helps you to increase the practical knowledge as well as you get 2 certificates ( 1 for completing the training course and other is for your project ), the certificate you get can be use in getting a job and helps you to increase your experience level. There is one government course which is offered by NPTEL, it is very popular and here you can get training for ethical hacking. These courses are conducted by IIT's. The fee is also very much less. But if you are hardworking then only join the course otherwise not. Another suggestion to you is if you go for private training courses then make sure they will provide you hard copy of the certificate and join for 6 weeks course only. As you've been already answered, expecting it to be rounded off is not fruitful thought. Rather try your level best in group discussions and personal interviews as some colleges are there which grade students on the basis of overall percentages. Give them ample reasons through GD and PI that they could groom you easily to get highly placed. And, as you have good scores in other aspects like 10th and 12th, graduation marks could be compensated. And be so presentable that your interviews shadow up your graduation marks and the selection panel will feel pleased to get you in.
