PGDM stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Management and is offered by an institute that is not affiliated under any University. The institute is an autonomous body which has its own course curriculum. Institutes offering MBA or Master in Business Administration on the other hand offer a Masters Degree from a recognized university and usually follow the curriculum of the university. PGDM courses are more industry relevant and help in career growth since the course structure is updated regularly depending on the changing needs of the industry whereas most MBA degrees follow the outdated University syllabus.

If you not given any entrance exam you can apply for various reputed institutes on the basis of your 12th marks without management quota
few institutes are Anna University , Lovely Professional University,
UPES Dehradun(20% seats)
*Minimum 80% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
*Minimum 80% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level(12th)
You also apply for management quota but for this you have to pay a good amount.

The PGDM course in BVDU has been discontinued now. Instead of the PGDM the university now offers 2 year MBA Program which is equivalent to PGDM. The placement record of the institute is good enough. The highest package has gone up to 15 lakhs. And for this this year.the placements are still going on.
