Your career is always in your hands but according to the present statistics, B.Tech has got a good scope, (again depends upon which branch you choose), whereas architecture has got a future scope in India but of course a lot of time is there for this scope to become present scenario.
According to me, you should go for B.Tech with some good branches like CSE, IT, ECE, civil, etc.
Rest, the decision is yours.

IPU don't give marks in it's results, they just give the ranks, so according to my performance, if you want a good college in IPU, you must score more than 300 in any case.
Apart from the question , please don't join IPU , it ruins you .You will be transformed from a human to the mean engineer and mean enigneers don't get success
