Most of the companies these days are having web based projects. Therefore the skills required are knowledge of Java, Oracle, VB.Net, Asp.Net, C#, XML etc. Normally these subjects are covered as part of the BSc. syllabus, but are not covered extensively. So best would be to join these course separately from a private institute like NIIT, STG, Aptech etc. and at the same time clear their certifications too. A SUN certified Java programmer is given more value than a Java expert, who is not certified. Similarly target clearing Microsoft certifications too. All this additional knowledge will help you in getting a good job break.
