JEE Mains is an entry-level exam for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded technical institutes. It focuses on basic concepts and problems. Preparing for both JEE Mains and Advanced simultaneously requires a structured approach, disciplined time management, and strategic focus. Here's a comprehensive plan to help you balance the preparation for both exams:

• Aim for strong foundational knowledge for both exams.
• Focus on JEE Advanced topics while ensuring you can handle the syllabus of JEE Mains as well.
• Keep in mind that Mains is more about speed and accuracy, while Advanced demands deeper conceptual understanding.
• Many topics are common between Mains and Advanced, especially in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. However, Advanced will delve deeper into these topics, so focus on:
  1. Physics: Mechanics, Electricity, Magnetism, Waves, Optics, Thermodynamics, Modern Physics.
  2. Chemistry: Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry (with more emphasis on conceptual clarity).
  3. Mathematics: Calculus, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Vectors, and 3D geometry
• Solve previous years' JEE Mains papers and take online mock tests to improve speed and accuracy. Solve previous years' JEE Advanced papers (especially from 2015 onwards). These questions are often more conceptual and will help you identify areas where you need to focus.

NCERT is termed as the standard book for preparation of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) . The syllabus of the examination is taken into account from NCERT itself. Regular revisions of NCERT will increase your score by a big difference. It's not always necessary to use coaching to pass the JEE Mains exam. Without the assistance of a coach, many students study alone and achieve high scores in JEE Main. Students who wish to pass JEE Mains without coaching must schedule their studies according to their available time. To comprehend their approach, students can watch videos and get online lessons from top scorers from prior years who passed the test without any help. Regular study is one requirement for pupils who do not take coaching. Create a study schedule for each day and set aside at least five to six hours to prepare for JEE Main. 11th and 12th graders can devote three to four hours a day, exclusively for JEE, in addition to their academic work.

The most sufficient time to prepare for the Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE) is two years, which is class 11th and 12th. 

However the minimums time that one needs to complete the syllabus of the examination is six months. 

4 months should be dedicated to completing the syllabus. Candidates should focus on basics like Vectors, Trigonometry, Integrated - Differentiation and graphs in Physics. For mathematics, topics like Algebra, Trigonometry, Co-ordinate geometry, calculus, Vectors and 3D geometry should be practiced enough. For chemistry, practice as many questions as you can for physical chemistry, by heart NCERT for inorganic chemistry and revise enough times to not mess up the Organic chemistry. 

Last two months should be saved for revision and mock tests. Join an online or offline institute for test series and mock tests .
