IPCC is held twice a year. ( May and November)
Once a student has cleared CPT (Common Proficiency Test), he/she has the following options to appear in IPCC :
1. Give both groups after nine months from the date of CPT result declaration.
2. Give 1st group of IPCC after nine months and the 2nd group in the next attempt.
3. Give both groups in the next attempt.
For Eg; If a person has cleared CPT (June 2013 attempt). His results would be declared in July. Thus, he can give-
1. Both groups of IPCC in May 2014
2. 1st group in May 2014 and the second in November 2014
3. Both groups in November 2014
You can give any no. of attempts. However u will be required to renew your registration after a certain no. of attempts.
Giving both groups together has the following advantages:
a) benefit of set-off
b) ranks are provided only when u give both groups together
c) better career prospects
If u are going to a day college, I would not recommend u to take the burden of giving both groups simultaneously.
IF u wish to register for May attempt ( either one or both groups ) , the last date for registration is 1st August.
