Hi Sumit,
If you want to develop a career as a financial adviser, I think the best way to go about it is by opting CS as a stream. By CS, i mean Company secretary also you can look forward to pursue MBA in Finance, however the latter shall be responsible to manage just a particular process and not an organization as complete.

Hi Venkatesh,
It is always advisable to appear for GRE if you are aspiring to pursue MS in US, as all good and top ranked university requires GRE score to evaluate the candidate's chance of getting admission in the university.
Though there are some universities which do not requires GRE score, but those universities are not ranked and does not provide quality education.
So it would always be advisable for you to take GRE and try to score 1300-1400 plus.

Yes! You can appear for CAT 2011. All you need to do is study hard and of course prioritize your time. In order to prepare, I would suggest you to join some good coaching institute so that you get the study material or you can also apply for the Mock tests conducted by various CAT preparation institutes.
Also, I would suggest you you to refer some good books for Quants and General Awareness.
