Dear Shivam,AMIE is Engineering Degree where as BCA is Computer Degree.
AMIE as engineering degree is more valuable but it is tough and require great dedication and persistence. 90% Students left AMIE midway and only 10% clear it. As there are no classes and students get distracted after few months, so if you are determined only then go for AMIE otherwise BCA is best option for you.
If you are Diploma holder in Electronics /Computers/IT then you will get admission directly in II year. Within 2 years you will complete BCA and job ready, which is not the same case with AMIE. It will take more time to complete AMIE even if you are determined.
within 2 years you will be able to apply for Govt jobs where graduation is required like
banks, railways,Electricity and central and State public services.
After BCA you can go for MSc -CS/IT (Eligible for Lectureship and other Govt jobs where master degree is required)
after MSc you can also join M.Tech in CS/IT , So you will again be in Engineering Field.
with BCA you are taking some short cuts with different route.
for BCA -SMU will be better that IGNOU comparing to study material and online interaction.
