There are some airlines who actually hire candidates who have a commercial pilot license and the selection process includes:
1. Technical Exam
2. Compass Test
3. Interview
4. Medicals
5. Induction.

Yes they have approval from UGC but they are recognized by bar council of India or not that's a question now.

CAT scores and class 10th and class 12th scores are the basic requirements. Apart from that there are different rounds of selection process that one need to clear to get into IMI K. Rounds would be essay writing, extempore, personal interview.
