In India, it is an emerging field and graduate or post graduate courses in Music therapy are rare. But Diploma and certificate courses are available. Abroad, becoming a music therapist involves obtaining a Bachelor's degree or higher in music therapy and obtaining certification through the Certification Board for Music Therapists.

The minimum eligibility criterion for taking admission to a tourism course at the undergraduate level is the completion of class XII. On the other hand if your looking for an admission to postgraduate programmes, you must be a graduate from a recognised institute and also appear for an entrance test and clear the group discussions and Personal Interviews. Distance Learning programmes in tourism and travel management are also provided by many institutes along degree courses

Basic eligibility for candidates to pursue Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from Sun International Institute for Technology and Management, Hyderabad is that the candidate should have passed 10th standard or 10+2 from a recognised board.
