O level course of DOEACC Scheme is equivalent to a Foundation Level Course in Computer Applications. It can only fetch you low level computer technician on data entry operator job. It is far lower qualification in comparison to MBA. You are advised not to discontinue MBA in interest of you long term career growth.

It is good to drop a year for scoring well in CAT exam and going for premier business school is recommendable, if your past academic record is excellent. 99 percentile won't get you admission as the other factors will also be considered. So, if you have good academic record, you can drop a year.
