For a student there are a number of reasons for joining a particular college or university. In this case, I won't tell you to join CU or something like that but I'll give you a reality check through various different points which a student wants before joining college. Firstly and most importantly a fresher or a new student always wants that freedom where he or she can express themselves, could just experience different kinds of human emotions and enjoy every bit of that. Chandigarh university does give that freedom to that new and under confident student to build that self belief in themselves and atlast understand what they really want or want to achieve in future. Next is the dedication towards sports, entertainment and other related fields which the young generation prefers a lot. They love to play any particular sports, go to gym or enjoy their time in drama etc. related activities. For all of these activities I'll just say that in a year from time to time CU has actively participated in various sports and other activities and gave their students every possible help to give their best at it. Also in a particular year CU has also been involved in organizing different fests which is quite evident and also has actively participated in every possible activities.Other than that CU has a good transportation system, the hostels are quite better from what the students heard of hostels before coming to the university. CU has a lot of parks to just sit and relax and the canteen also offers different items of food which the students will probably love.

Of course, yes. But on one condition.
The Degrees will be recognised only if they are for enrollment of medical practitioners in the countries from where they are obtained because the union government issued a notification under Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. It is basically to recognise the post graduate medical degrees awarded in the countries like:
Canada Australia United Kingdom The United States of America New Zealand
The decision was to overcome the shortage the medical practitioners in India.
Note: The degrees will be recognised on condition that they are recognised for enrollment of medical practitioners in the countries from where they are obtained.
Foreign postgraduate medical degrees used to be recognised in India in the past, but now, the system has changed.
So, since the government has recognised foreign degrees, those holding them like you need not go through the screening test.
Usually, this test is conducted by the MCI. The recognition has come as a boon now to Indian students who went abroad.
As you are willing to acquire a postgraduate degree after you MBBS, you don't need to worry at all. Now, you can come back and practise.
One positive aspect is that those having foreign degrees would be able to practise in India. So, I think you are lucky.
