Placements was good. Many companies came for marketing students. The students have been from B Tech. (Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, Information Technology and Mechanical branches), MCA, MBA, M.Sc IT and M.Tech. For ECE or any other engineering courses, you will get the best engineering colleges with a cut off mark of 197.75.
The best engineering colleges that you can get are:
1) SSN, Kalavakkam, Chennai
2) MIT, Chennai
3) Thiagarajar College Of Engineering, Madurai
4) PSG Coimbatore
5) Sastra University, Thanjavur
These are all the best colleges that you can get with your marks.
The first 5 colleges come under Anna University so that if you attend the counselling then you can get them.
For SASTRA University, you need to apply separately. They admit you in two streams:
Stream 1: JEE marks and board exam marks
Stream. 2: Only board exam marks.
The website for applying to Sastra University is www.sastra.edu and the last date is June 10.
The website for applying to Anna University counselling is www.annauniv.edu .
The last date of applying is May 31 and the last date for submission is June 3.

Being an alumni of LPU I would like to share some details as I have couple of friends in same stream. Of course this is pretty much fine for girls. Chemical engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the engineering and development of chemicals/processes to identify and/or solve technical glitches. This branch of engineering is a diverse field, covering broader fields such as biotechnology, nanotechnology, pharmaceuticals, mineral processing, petroleum refining plants, etc. Chemical Engineering is indeed a very broad field and the branch of study has its applications in diverse sectors, such as textile, plastics, food, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, and more. Currently, the Indian industrial sector is on its way of expansion, creating more and more opportunities for chemical engineering students in areas of production, designing, research, and development. The recent trend shows that the industry is expected to evolve and grow phenomenally in the years to come.
