I would suggest that you personally visit the places and then decide because having a brand name cannot guaranty a good placement and internship.
There is a limitation for every organization when it comes to training and placing, which is not possible for all the students.

Vivek you are eligible to apply PG course conducted by any institute by the fulfilling the eligibility requriment fixed by the institute and other regulatory body n India. your distance education degree is not a problem in this regards.

Some prestigious institute offering courses in embedded systems require the candidate to be from Electronics or related fields. But there are some institutes which do not have such criteria.
If you have the sound understanding of required basic concepts you may apply in one of them.
