As per your query it seems that you are interested in pursuing MBA from abroad, so regarding this please remember, in order to pursue MBA from good universities abroad, you need to have atleast 2-3 years of full time work experience after graduation.
Besides work experience you also need to have:
Good academic record, preferably 60%-70% plus in graduation.
Relevant undergraduate degree from recognized university.
GMAT score of 500-600 plus.
IELTS score of 6-7 bands plus or TOEFL score of 80-90 plus.

Career is made through a good line of education, value of degree, reputation of college in terms of required accreditation, approvals and affiliation and last but not the least the caliber of student. In similar circumstances, different students will have different career path.
Coming to C. Gowtham's question, engineering degree & MBA combination work differently in different sets of situations.
1. IIT degree +IIM MBA : Top career
2. NIT/Govt Colleges/Top Private colleges degree + MBA from top B-schools as fresher: good career in management/banking sector but would never work as engineer.
3. Normal Private colleges degree
