If you are in graduation school: please do well in your bachelors degree first and then think about CAT.
If you are already graduated you can join a CAT coaching class or prepare using mock test series from Career Launcher or TIME or anyother provider.

Work ex is not mandatory for an engineering student. But if you plan to apply for operations or information management, its advisable you ha e some prior work experience in that area. But there have been exception also. For marketing and finance, even engineer with no work experience have received admission in SPJIMR PGDM program.
