Yes, there is gain in doing M.Sc in IIT. It opens up more job and fellowship opportunities for after M.Sc, as government provides many fellowship schemes to students who have studied in IIT. Good luck.

If you want to study more and dream a beautiful future, you must go through BSc with a good Hons. like Physics/Chemistry/Maths. It may take some more time. If you have a good academic career and a good knowledge you have a better future.
I dont say Engineering is worse. But you may face a large competition with a insecure future. If you really want to do Engineering than work hard to get admission in IIT/NIT/other top institutions. Otherwise there is no guarantee to get a high salary job.
Many of my friends are getting a salary about twenty thousand rupees only at Mumbai/Chennai/Hyderabad after BTech degree. I think its too l

Comparing the two options that you have stated, in my humble opinion, a MBA in Finance makes better sense as it gives you more options for your future career than MBA in Banking!
