You can join in merchant navy either by taking direct entry in merchant navy as deck cadet or if you want officer level jobs that pays well then it is essential to pursue degree in nautical science or Marine Engineering.Candidates with B.Tech degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology can also apply for direct entry into merchant navy.
