Hi A,
I can totally understand your dilemma as I had gone through the same. Each and every profession is good if it interests you.
Thus, It would be right if you decide what you should do and what will be best for you because you are the right person to make that decision. We as experts, can only guide and assist you with the same.
A lot would depend on the branch that you wish to pursue for your engineering, as different branch have different scope.
All the courses are equally good and thus it will be difficult to tell which is better.

Anjana, I am not sure which course you are looking at. Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. They must read this http://bit.ly/SXc9GD. Again like science it pays to be at the cutting edge. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Similarly in Design the cutting edge areas are UID/ UXD, 3D Printing, Immersive Technology, Augmented Reality, 3D Projection etc, besides of course Game Design and Animation. Of
