You have already been replied about a variety of career options available after 12th but I know how confusing it is to select one field that's why I would like to give my suggestion on that. I think one should seriously consider current market forces and industry trends before choosing a career field as this is what matters in the end of completion of a course. I feel hospitality and tourism sector has huge potential considering the fact that the Prime Minister himself is stressing on tourism in and out of the country. Therefore, I would definitely advise you to make your career in this field if you find it interesting. Gain maximum skills regarding this industry and make their fortune! Hospitality and Tourism is a very delicate sector if you catch the nerve of this industry you can easily become a king! So, I would advise, go for a proper training before entering in this sector. Like you can go for BBA in hotel travel and tourism. UTM Shillong is a very good university offering this program and as Shillong itself is a tourist destination you can learn a lot here. UTM's program aims to train and develop professionals for hospitality and tourism industry. Program helps students acquire a thorough knowledge and understanding of MARKETING, Sales, Tour Planning, Tour Operation, Holiday Consulting and foreign exchange management for tourists. Normally in order to enroll for a degree programme at the under-graduate level, the minimum eligibility criteria is that you need to have passed your 10+2. For diploma programmes the eligibility is more relaxed, however for most you need to still have passed your 10th class exams. Our suggestion to you would be to enroll for the Bachelor's Preparatory Programme (BPP) offered by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). This is a 6 month programme and is meant for those students who wish to do Bachelor's Degree but do not have the essential qualifications of having passed 10+2. The programme enables students such as yourself to enter higher education stream. You can get more information about this course and the institute from www.ignou.ac.in

Mittu, I am not sure how good you are with maths and programming. If you are, then you must pick up a language whether PHP/ HTML5 (web dev), .Net (for software dev) Java/ Android (for apps) or C#/ Unity (for games). However like i mentioned, you must be good with programming to move ahead in this area since you have to compete with MCAs and BTech(CS) applicants. So choose your internship/ industrial training very carefully. Do not just go for the cheapest to save money. See the IT company's credentials on the net. for example if someone provide LIVE PROJECTS are they there near the TOP on PORTALS like JUSTDIAL? Or if the company is registered with STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) - all good IT companies are registered with STPI. If a company spends money to market themselves to customers, only then they are able to get LIVE PROJECTS. Also, if you are an average programmer, and if you you're better with creative work, then you can head for web design or even vfx/ animation since there is a huge requirement coming up in that domain. There is also an intermediate path in games design and development. Wish you the best for your career.
