There is B.Sc. in Computer Maintenance offered by RDVV University Jabalpur affiliated to UGC. BUT will it be worthful for getting job in Hardware & Networking line?
One simple question for u - U must have some sort of computer knowledge i know cos now a days computer has taken place of TV at home. If my Hard Disk gone damage should i replace or repair? If Motherboard got damage will it be repaired or replaced? Now a days all these r coming with 3-5 years of warranty. Processor can not be repaired. What other expensive things remain on computer which can be repaired. I think replacement is the best option now a days. For making parts replaced do u think u must have to do the course of 18 months or so and invest around 55-60 thousand on Hardware & Networking course. After that u will get a National level of certificate. Instead of that if u go for any International Certifications like RHCE+CCNA+MCSE+RHCVA in a shorter amount of time and invest ur more time on the field for getting experience. Which will be the wise answer u just ask to urself and do the rest. Any graduation will work to start career in H/W Networking line with specialization only. The Examination comprises two successive stages.
(i) Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) for the selection of candidates for Main Examination. There is a new syllabus from 2011 for this exam now also known as CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test). There will be two objective type papers carrying equal marks. Both the papers will be common to all the candidates. The date of notification is 19.02.2011 and the last date for receipt of applications is 21.03.2011.

(ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts. The main examination is likely to be held in October/November. Only those who qualify in the preliminary exam can apply for the mains exam.

Eligibility Conditions:
Age limits: 21-30 years for candidates belonging to the general category.
Educational qualification: The candidate must hold a degree of a recognized university.
Number of attempts: Four attempts for candidates belonging to the general category.

Hi Manisha,
Although, there is no doubt that JNTU is one of the Good Government University but as far as Central Michigan University is concerned it is not a very high ranked University in US & it is different from the University of Michigan which is one of the top most Universities in USA. I would suggest that before plunging into this programme you should get all the details about the programme directly from the University.
I would also suggest you to visit JNTU and try and talk to the current batch students of the MBA programme (in collaboration with Central Michigan University) also try and talk to few of the faculty members and last but not least take few the alumnaes contacts and talk to them. This will give you a clear picture about this MBA programme through JNTU.

3+3+2 mean when u start working u will be around 26. will industry seek young fresher or old fresher? Will u keep on studying or will work as well? Learning through experience will give u more boost up in ur salary hike instead of thinking from the first on top. If u will get very high qualification then u will find more difficulty for finding a job as well. After spending huge amount of money for ur career if u won't get the good opening then u will get more frustrated. So my advice is finish ur MCA first and Simultaneously with ur MCA get hands on with C on Linux, C++ on Linux, JAVA on Linux, PHP on Linux MySQL Database, Oracle Database as well. Cos Most of the Solutions now a days r Network Solutions and Linux is most popular in Network solutions. If u get certified with RHCE which will give u Linux Administration knowledge+hands on practical experience & PHP & MySQL combination for Web Development will be ultimate. If u r not looking for getting degree only then u can directly go for Certifications only and get much early JOB. First u decide in which line u wanted to work in IT line. U must have to get certified according with latest industry trends.cos Degree will provide theoretical based knowledge according to the syllabus.
