For admission to B.Sc. Interior Design, students have to clear the entrance exam which many colleges conduct separately followed by group discussion round and personal interview round.
Skills tested in the entrance test includes general proficiency, logical reasoning, quantitative analysis and basic Mathematics and the students are judged on parameters like career focus, maturity and confidence, general awareness and intellectuality in the personal interview.
All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED) is an exam conducted for admission to undergraduate exams for designing courses including B.A Interior Design. This exam is carried out in January and April generally.
Many colleges accept the scores of AIEED like Pearl Academy, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Apeejay Institute of Design, New Delhiand National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.
Some colleges also accept NATA, CAT and MAT scores as well.
Colleges like Pearl Academy, JaganNath Institute of Management Sciences, New Delhi offer admission through lateral entry i.e. in 2nd year to students who have passed 1st year with minimum 50%.

The examination tests candidates on visual perception ability, drawing skills, design aptitude and communication skills. CEED/GATEqualificationalone does not guarantee admission to design programmes offered atIITsor IISc Bangalore. Candidates also have to fulfill other requirements such as tests and interviews by the respective institutes for admission.
