Well as your interests are in fields as mentioned by you - Aeronautics (/Aerospace )and IT, definitely these happen to be one of the career efficient domains along with other disciplines, but have less in common to one another making it difficult for me to provide you detailed information.
However if you are a Science student and has completed your 12th from a recognized board, you are eligible to apply for either of the course based on your sole interest. Admissions for engineering programs in these domains from the reputed and recognized institutes take place on the basis of qualifying an entrance tests like IIT JEE, AIEEE etc.

You can go for a diploma course. However, first check if you're suited for Animation. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this.
