CAT coaching requires atleast 6 months of good practice. I would suggest you to join coaching class like TIME or IMS when you enter 4th year. Till that time, try doing practice on your own.
I would recommend the following books
quants - Trishna
LRDI - Nishit K Sinha
Verbal - Norman lewis for vocab, Wren& Martin for grammar and Arun sharma
In case you are not interested in taking coaching, atleast attempt CAT mock test series after self practice.

GATE as you would know well is a premier entrance exam carried out for the Masters in Engineering and is more concerned to assess the student's caliber in the fundamentals of engineering. Hi Suman,
The most important thing which you should keep in mind while choosing your stream is your own interests and career aspiration. As you have not got very high percentage it would not be easy for you to get into programmes like doctorate etc. so depending on your percentage and your interests you need to choose the field, it could be vocational fields like Hospitality, Tourism, Fashion Designing, Interior Designing etc.

The best option for you, according to me , would be for you to pursue your M.Phil or Ph.D from Indian UGC approved university through correspondence. the advantages would be that
1. you wont need to search for universities in India and there would be time saving
2. you can pursue M.Phil / Ph.D from UGC and government approved university so there wont be any problems with the credibility of the university .

You can pursue MS in electronics and telecommunication in US, there are many good and top ranked universities in US offering this course.Universities in US have 2 admission intake in a year, i.e. Fall(August) and Spring (January) intake.
