UPSC conducts exams for various services under the Indian Government. To pursue a career in this one, requires to write and qualify the UPSC exams , which are conducted in two phases: Preliminary test (CSAT) and Main Written Test.
CSAT: It is an Objective type examination consisting of Two Papers that is common to all candidates from 2011 having special emphasis on testing their aptitude for civil services as well as on general knowledge.
Main Exam.: Those who qualify the CSAT exam are shortlisted for the Main exam. It is a descriptive (essay type) examination. The General Studies, Essay paper, English Paper are common to all candidates and with this a candidate has two optional subjects to choose from the given options and a language paper of his / her choice. After qualifying the test, shortlisted candidates are called for the interviews and then the final selection takes place.

Hi George,
If you are going for a full time MBA program and sitting for various Entrance Examination then you can sit for the Entrances even after appearing for your third year Examination but when you go for Personal interview you need to show an original certificate from the Principal/Registrar/Director of the university/institution certifying that you have obtained 50% marks or equivalent. Apart from this your admission would be provisional and by end of the particular year you to submit your documents failing which your admission would be canceled. The time period of provisional admission may vary from Institute to Institute.

You need to contact the recruitment agencies and get your resume placed in their records, you may regularly read the weekly employment news paper, register yourself on the employment exchange of your district, register your resume on the job portals, read the ascent part of the newspaper The Times of India & vaccancies advertised in other newspapers as well, and above all get the e-mail address of various companies through the net (www.google.com) and forward your resume there. You can also contact your seniors in the college who must have been placed somewhere and can help you out with the name & e-mail id's of the companies. If you are living in a metro city or an industrially oriented city then you may even telephone the HR or Personnel department of those companies and express your wilingness to meet them for a job opportunity.
