Hi Harsha,
No; it is not mandatory to have prior work experience to be eligible to get admission in MBA program.
However if you have prior work experience then it will give you competitive advantage over other candidates with no work experience during MBA admission.
Besides this after working for few years you will know which specialization to opt in MBA that can further enhance your career prospects.However as per your past academic record pursuing MBA in IT would be the best option for you.
This work experience of yours will also be an added advantage for you during campus recruitment in MBA, as most companies would surely prefer an experience candidates over a fresher for a job.
Finally if you work for some years then you may yourself manage the expenses for your further studies.
Please note that the final selection in full time MBA or PGDM program is made on the basis of:
1. Education background of the students. i.e. 50% marks in graduation.
2. Score in various management entrance tests like CAT, MAT, XAT, etc
3. Performance in group discussions and personal interview.
4. Work experience if any.
5. Other activities like participating in various event like debates, quiz, extra curricular activities, etc.

By offline, u need to do registration at the university registation office. The registration procedure at GEHU involves some simple steps:
1. Collect the application form from the University office at the payment of Rs. 1200/- Alternatively, Check for the application form on the website here id the link for the application form

Note :Note: For the academic session 2014-2015, 30% seats in all courses have been reserved for candidates from Uttarakhand. In case of non availability of candidates, the seats will be converted into All India seats. If you aim for a career in Business Management, BBA is the right option. You will also get the benefit of choosing a specialization- HR, Marketing or Finance as per your career choice.
To prepare for CAT exam you may work on such points-
-To score well, you need to know what sections the test paper consists of. CAT consists of Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. It is very important to know the content of the test, to ace it.
-Plan your preparation after knowing your strengths and weaknesses and take a diagnostic test.
-Start your preparation after gauging your weaknesses. Read newspapers, business dailies and magazines as this exercise will help you to understand different topics and increase your hold over English, general knowledge and various other topics.
-To excel, one has to be much organised. You should make a time table and follow it.
-When you get a grip over the basic syllabus of the CAT exam, you should start taking regular mock tests to know your preparation status. Also you must see if you are improving after taking the tests and analyse your performance.
For more rigorous practice you may even opt to join coaching center. You can also refer a book by R.S. Agarwal for working on math's section.
