There are various divisions and specializations in case of Executive Officers. They are- Logistics Officer, General Service Officer, Information Technology Officer, Law Officer, Submarine Officer, Diving Officer, Pilot Officer, Provost Officer, Hydrographic Officer and Naval Armament Inspection Officer.
These Officer job posts fall under the category of Executive Officers. These posts ensures the smooth functioning of the Indian Navy and takes care of various General Duty as well as specialized tasks.
Now, 12th Science stream passed students are also eligible to apply for these posts. They have two methods for applying- NDA (National Defence Academy) Entry and Indian Naval Academy Entry. Both entry procedures are held and managed by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

This is from somebody who has been in Advertising for above 8 years and has had a UG and PG degree in mass comm.
Ok, firstly none of the work areas (Advertising, PR, Journalism, Events etc) pay well when you are in the first 1-2 years of your career. The reason for this is pretty straight forward and somewhat justified - these fields of work are the kind where the things they teach in school and what happens in a real work environment is quite different.
Most students who graduate from a communication school (or while studying) take up internships in various media organisations or agencies as they are called for PR, Advertising, Digital.
Interns mostly work for free or at a TA/FA allowance.
Freshers out of college can earn as low as 5K to 15K depending on the city and the size/repute of the organisation they are working for.
I agree with some of the other responses in the thread, that if one is really passionate about the field, then one should look at investing thier time and effort upon learning the craft from a good mentor. (And a good mentor could be in a large/small organisation)
Once you learn the craft and master it, this field pays you more than well for a decent living.

You need to have a Bachelor's degree relevant to the field if you aspire to work as a TV anchor. Most companies look for individuals with a Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism. There could be companies that consider individuals with a Bachelor Degree in English Literature or Mass Communication. If you have these degrees, you wont find it really difficult to make it to the interviews.
A news anchor has to present the world happenings in the most interesting manner so that the viewers watch with awe. You need to be aware of the latest happenings in the world and also the reaction of different people towards different happenings. If you take interest in the world happenings, you realize that every event that takes place is a result of some other happening. You need to be aware of how different events impact individuals and how they are affected by world events.
Language is your greatest stronghold and your key to success when you are working as a news anchor or a news presenter. An anchor is truly nothing without his speaking skills. A TV news anchor should understand the mood of the news he is presenting and should be able to alter his speaking style to suit his vast audience and their needs. You need to make sure that your voice is audible and all the words are clearly pronounced. These factors count a lot if you wish to continue as a news anchor.
News anchors may have to work endlessly during certain calamities or events of national significance. You should make sure you have the stamina to work endlessly without a break. You need to have a camera friendly face and physique to work in front of the camera continuously.
A TV anchor must have a personality and should throw a certain kind of attitude. You need to maintain the impression people have about your profession and you. You can do this only by taking extra care to dress properly.
It is not easy to be a news anchor or a news reporter. You need to put in tremendous effort to hone your skills and abilities. It is a good idea to have a role model whom you follow. When you have an example ahead of you, the road gets a lot easier.
